We are intending to produce a small newsletter about the use of negative digits. It will contain information about their properties and advantages, comments, problems, puzzles and articles on related topics. We aim to have four issues per year, beginning on New Year's Day 1984, at a subscription of £1 per year (at least initially) to cover the costs of printing, postage and incidentals. GEOMETRY WITHOUT PICTURES

During the 20th century, it became apparent that studying geometric spaces was best achieved by studying the algebras of functions on those spaces. Classically, all such algebras are commutative, but if we forget about the original space and try to apply the same ideas, we end up with a form of 'non-commutative' geometry [contd.]
